Bio

Anna Martínez-Gavara is a Professor of Operations Research and Statistics at the University of Valencia and an Associate Professor at the Statistics and Operations Research Department. She received her doctoral degree in Mathematics in 2008 from the University of Valencia, funded with an FPU grant.

Since 2015, she has focused her research on heuristic and metaheuristic methods for addressing challenging optimization problems. Her expertise spans from Applied Mathematics to Operations Research, with broad applications in social network analysis, management science, facility location, mobility networks, and supply chain.
